First Aid and CPR Training

Joe is a Training Faculty member for the New England region of the American Heart Association. Additionally, he is certified to instruct Basic Life Support (BLS), HeartSaver Total and specializes in HeartSaver Pediatric Total.

Courses

  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)

    Using the American Heart Association’s Basic Life Support training methods, Joe trains participants to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, deliver chest compressions and appropriate ventilations, and provide instruction in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). This course reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

    This course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other cardiovascular life support techniques in a variety of settings.

  • AHA Heartsaver® First Aid/CPR/AED

    Joe teaches the American Heart Association’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course to train participants to safety and effectively use first aid, CPR and an AED. This course also reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

    This course is designed for anyone without medical training who needs this certification for their job, regulatory (like OSHA) or other requirements, or anyone who wants to be able to be prepared for any emergency where first aid, CPR or the use of an AED might be required.

  • AHA Heartsaver® Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Training

    In addition to teaching courses designed for adults, Joe teaches the American Heart Association’s Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid, CPR, AED course to train participants to respond to illnesses or injuries in children and infants until healthcare professionals arrive. This course reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) and the AHA Guidelines for First Aid.

    This course is designed for childcare providers who have a duty to respond in the first few minutes to a child illness or injury until professional help arrives. This includes childcare workers, teachers and camp counselors, etc.
